Tri-state Pumpers assemble!

Postby JYDsteve » Mon Jul 27, 2009 4:35 am

Post here if you're shooting a pump at ABC! We're ALWAYS looking for new pumpers to play with and ALWAYS looking to spread pump paintball to people who've never tried it before. It's a great, inexpensive, FUN way to play and ABC is a great place to do it!

WHY PLAY PUMP???
-It's cheaper! Significantly cheaper!
-It teaches you to be more accurate and snapshoot more efficiently. You only have 1 ball at a time, not 20! Make it count!
-It forces you to concentrate on MAKING MOVES and FINDING ANGLES! Paintball is NOT about hiding behind your bunker and blind-firing at your opponent, it's about MOVING UP and WINNING THE GAME!
-Pumps are NOT inherently more accurate than semi-auto guns, and pump guns DO NOT shoot farther than semi-automatic guns! The only reason you might think so is because a pump player just shot you out!
-Nobody gets overshot 20 times by some trigger-happy yahoo who has $1200 equipment and $0 game!

Those of us with JYD in front of our name (like JYDjake and JYDmark) are member of the Junkyard Dogs, a pump team that plays at ABC. You'll usually see us in our tigerstripe camo jackets shooting all different kinds of pumps, like CCMs, Carters, PPS, CCI, and others. If you see us at the field, feel free to introduce yourself! And yes, we play speedball and X-ball too, we just happen to be playing more in the woods lately--until the ABC X-ball field is up and running, that is!

Here's JYDjake up in the woodsball field with his CCM SS-25 pump:

Here's one of our newer players, Kurt. He just got his first pump, and his dad liked it so much that he bought himself one too!

Post here with questions, your own pictures, anything related to pumping it up at ABC! I'm a college student with way too much time on my hands, and the rest of us are pretty friendly people, so post away!

I will be pumping at ABC. I just ordered this pump, it should be here soon.

Any chance of pump only days, or something of the sort?

Nice. Apparently Azodin makes a great first pump. Let us know how it shoots once you get it.

While playing against semis is a nice challenge, especially with stock class, it's great to have an all-pump environment. Everything is much more relaxed and fun. We've had one or two kind of half-hearted pump days at ABC before, the only problem being they weren't very well publicized, which is another reason why it's a good thing this message board is back up. At one point maybe 3-4 years ago this place was actually pretty busy, believe it or not.

Tell your friends! ;)
